How to assign entity to the user?
In this tutorial we will create user role, User and assign entity to the user
Steps to do
Add user role
First, we have to add new user role and select entities user can have access to.
Add User Selection Field to the Entity
New field with User Selection type should be added to the entity and, if required, limited to the pre-selected user role available for the selection.
Configure permissions to edit or view fields
Make sure to select fields available for view or edit for the given user role.
Add User
Finally, invite user to the system
Sign in as a user
After successful login, user will see allowed and assigned records and edit allowed fields

Please note, this approach is applicable to any kind of users, like technicians, vendors, customers, partners, dealers and so on.
